Common Questions

  • We recommend booking as soon as you decide you'd like to preserve your flowers. Early reservations secure your spot on our calendar and lock in current pricing. We occasionally accept last-minute bookings if space allows, and we make thoughtful exceptions for unexpected circumstances like funerals or memorials.

To officially reserve your date, a deposit is required.

  • To ensure the highest-quality results, your flowers must be shipped overnight and arrive at our studio within 2–5 days of your event.

Once you book, we’ll send detailed instructions on how to safely pack and ship your flowers — following these carefully is key to a successful preservation.

    Important Shipping Note:

    • If your event is on Friday, Saturday, or Sunday, you’ll ship your flowers the following Monday.

    • If your event is on a Thursday, flowers may be shipped Friday only if your local courier can guarantee Saturday delivery — otherwise, ship on Monday.

We are based in Dallas, TX, and accept orders from all U.S. states. Local clients are welcome to drop off or pick up — just email us to arrange a time.

  • If your flowers are still fresh and it’s within 2–5 days of your event, we may still be able to preserve them. Please reach out as soon as possible to check availability.

If it’s been longer, we can walk you through drying your flowers at home so they can still be preserved in resin or a frame. Just let us know you're drying them yourself so we can update our schedule and provide the correct next steps.

  • Yes! We're happy to work with air-dried flowers as long as they’re in good condition. Be sure to note this on your form and we’ll send adjusted shipping instructions.

Please note: If your flowers show signs of moisture or mold, we may not be able to use them. When in doubt, send close-up photos to contact@cmluxdecor.com.

CM Lux Decor is not responsible for any mold, rot, or hidden residues in the flowers.

  • We’ve worked with many destination brides! Each situation is unique, so we recommend checking with your airline and customs ahead of time to make sure you can bring your flowers back to the U.S. safely.

  • Our typical turnaround time is 4–5 months from the date we receive your flowers.

Please keep in mind this timeline may vary based on communication, your design preferences, the number of items ordered, and the condition of the blooms. We take great care with each piece and never rush the process — preserving your flowers beautifully is our top priority.

  • The final balance is due after you approve your layout design, which is typically 8–9 weeks after your flowers arrive at our studio. We begin casting or framing once payment is received.

  • That depends on the size and condition of your bouquet. On average, we can create 3–4 pieces, along with several add-on options. We’ll guide you through your options during the design phase.

  • We love collaborating with our clients! Once your flowers are dry, we’ll send an update along with layout options and inspiration from past work. You can share your preferences — from a minimal to a fuller look — and any special requests.

We offer four layout styles: centered, cornered, full, or minimal.

Please note: Flower size, shape, color, and natural imperfections may guide our final recommendations.

  • Succulents are a bit tricky — they hold a lot of moisture and tend to shrink during the drying process. While we’ll do our best, they won’t look the same as when fresh. If you’d prefer their original look, we can use faux replacements instead.

    • Handle your bouquet gently and avoid touching petals to prevent bruising or oil transfer.

    • Keep flowers out of heat and direct sunlight.

    • Store stems in fresh water, in a cool, shaded place until shipping.

  • Not at all — we preserve flowers from memorials, baby showers, quinceañeras, and any other meaningful events. Every flower has a story, and we’re honored to help preserve yours.

  • Not exactly. The preservation process — which includes drying and casting or framing — naturally changes the color and texture of flowers. Still, we work lovingly to preserve the beauty, spirit, and emotion of your original blooms.

    Most colors deepen over time:

    • Yellows, oranges, blues, purples, and pinks remain vibrant but become richer.

    • Reds and purples may turn burgundy.

    • White flowers often dry to ivory or cream.

Some delicate blooms, like tulips and orchids, may dry to a more papery texture. Through our color-correction techniques, we do our best to bring out their natural beauty.

  • Yes! We carefully color-correct to restore and enhance the look of your flowers. This helps bring them as close as possible to how they appeared on your special day and addresses any translucent spots or imperfections.

  • Each piece is handmade using high-quality, VOC-free, UV-resistant resin. While all resin will naturally amber over time, keeping your piece out of direct sunlight will slow this process.

Tiny bubbles or slight variations are normal and part of the handcrafted charm.

  • Yes! We can create a custom listing with your selected items so guests can contribute to your keepsake. Gift cards are also available.

The booking process is still required to reserve your spot.

  • Due to the personalized, custom nature of each piece, we do not accept returns or exchanges. Every order is made specifically for you with great care and intention.

  • We assess the condition of your flowers upon arrival and use the healthiest blooms in your design. If you'd like the remaining dried flowers returned, just let us know and we’ll include them with your finished order.
